According to the indictment, Ahmad Abu Elnor took advantage of his entry into the country in favor of an illegal stay, while attempting to engage in terrorist activities.

An indictment was filed today (Friday) against Ahmad Abu Elnor (27), the terrorist from Gaza entered Israel in January 2020 for medical treatment and remained in Israel without a permit and continued to engage in terrorism until he was captured.

The indictment was filed by the Southern District Attorney's Office, in the Beer Sheva District Court, led by attorney Amit Ginat.

Abu Elnor is charged with committing offenses against state security, membership in a terrorist organization, training for terrorist purposes and illegal stay.

According to the indictment, Abu Elnor joined the military wing of the Hamas terrorist organization and took part in the organization's activities.

He also underwent military training and participated with other activists in armed guards - "Ribat".

During Operation Eitan, the defendant also commanded in Jabalya, the "rebat" activity of the Qassam operatives.

The role of the cell was, among other things, to locate collaborators with Israel.

In addition, Abu Elnor was instructed to use methods of action or means to commit terrorist offenses - how to proceed in the event of a war with Israel, where the hiding places are and how to ask people on the streets to reveal their identities.

As stated, in January 2020, the defendant entered Israel after receiving a one-day entry and residence permit for medical purposes.

But even though the residence permit expired, the defendant remained in Israel without a permit for about two more years.

Until he was finally arrested, at that time he continued in full membership in Hamas.
