Abstract.
On February 13, thousands of people gathered at the Zénith de Paris to attend the first meeting of Valérie Pécresse, the Republican candidate for the presidential election.
This meeting was supposed to give a boost to the candidate's campaign, but her performance did not convince, neither in form nor in substance.
For the past few weeks, Valérie Pécresse's campaign has divided within the LR party.
On February 9, Éric Woerth, a member of the LR family for 40 years, accused her of running behind the far right and rallied to Emmanuel Macron.
The next day, on France Info, Rachida Dati, mayor of the 7th arrondissement of Paris, did not hesitate to highlight her points of disagreement with her and her campaign team.
Valérie Pécresse must also combine with the silence of Nicolas Sarkozy, who still refuses to support her publicly.
This episode of Code source is told by Alexandre Sulzer, journalist in the political department of Le Parisien.
