indicated having acted out of jealousy

understood that the victim was dating another man

The young woman, mother of three children, received eight stab wounds "
of great violence
", in the face, skull and left flank, at her home around 1:00 a.m. Thursday, according to the prosecution after an autopsy.
Firefighters found her dead a few minutes after the incident in a street in downtown Marmande near her home.
Already convicted of acts of violence in 2020, the man, arrested Friday morning at a friend's house in La Réole (Gironde), will be brought before the prosecution on Saturday, said the prosecutor.
