Tartous, SANA- The player of the Governorate Club, Hend Zaza, won the first place in the cubs category in the Republic Championship for Volleyball.

Governorate Club player Hend Zaza won the first place in the cub category in the Republic Table Tennis Championship, which concluded today in Tartous with the participation of forty-four players.

Idlib player Abaa Hallaq came in second place, followed by Lattakia player Julie Diop, Tartous player Solaf Mahmoud and Hama players Dalaa Asad, Hala Hamama and Sham Asad, while Tartous player Dibar Al-Abbas came in eighth.

In the Cubs category, Hama national team player Zaid Qatini won first place, followed by Damascus team player Muhammad Salem Zaza in second place and Hama team player Shakib Al Maghout in third place. The fourth place went to Damascus team player Ziad Qabas, followed by Ghaith Ghareeb from Hama, then Abdel Ghaffar Fadeel from Damascus and Ibrahim Sheikh Taha from Hama and Yaman Fadil from Damascus.

In a statement to SANA, the head of the Table Tennis Association, Bassam Khalil, explained that one of the union's priorities is to support young talents that form the future and the basis of this sport, pointing to the need to establish distinguished players and players in a scientific and correct manner and to qualify them to be the mainstay and pillars of the national teams.

At the end of the tournament, the top eight winners of each category were awarded with medals and certificates of appreciation.
