An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale rocked the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines today.
Reuters quoted the GFZ Center for Geosciences Research as saying that the epicenter of the tremor was located at a depth of ten kilometers from the surface of the Earth.
There were no reports of casualties or material damage as a result of the tremor.
