Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian discussed with the European Union Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Security Josep Borrell the process of reviving the nuclear agreement, canceling the embargo imposed on Iran and obtaining guarantees in this regard.
And the Iranian news agency, IRNA, quoted Abdullahian as saying during his meeting with Borrell on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference today that the United States of America and the three European countries must take political decisions and show a real will to reach an agreement as soon as possible, noting that his country presented in this context. All necessary initiatives and suggestions.
Abdullahian reiterated his country's will to eventually reach a good agreement, calling at the same time, "the other side" not to ignore the red lines set by his country.
In another meeting, Abdullahian discussed with his Spanish counterpart Jose Manuel Alparis the current nuclear negotiations in the Austrian capital and bilateral, regional and international issues.
During the meeting, Abdullahian called on the European Troika to make efforts to guarantee Iran's legitimate rights, saying that given the Vienna negotiations, which reached the stage of political decisions by the West, France, Germany and Britain, as members of the nuclear agreement, should make efforts to guarantee Iran's legitimate rights and interests.
In turn, the Spanish Foreign Minister expressed his country's readiness to cooperate and consult with Iran on regional issues, especially after the transfer of the rotating presidency of the European Union in the second half of this year to his country.
