Al-Miqdad said in an interview with Russia Today: “We are in direct contact with the Russian administration and discuss with Russian officials the situation in Syria, international developments, and the Western escalation against Russia during the past days, which comes within the framework of exerting more pressure on it to prevent it from being a major player on the scene. On the dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Iran, Al-Miqdad said: “We call for deepening this dialogue and support it, and we want it to produce results because the situation cannot be stabilized in the Gulf region without an Arab-Iranian understanding.
