Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov affirmed that his country sees an opportunity to reach agreements on reducing military tension in Europe and preventing military accidents.
Antonov said in an interview with the American channel (CBS) today, "Measures must be developed to reduce military tension in Europe, raise transparency in military exercises, prevent dangerous military accidents, and revive contacts through the defense ministries to reach agreements acceptable to both parties."
Antonov rejected calls for Russia to cooperate in the field of arms control, coinciding with the unlimited increase in the strike capabilities of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) on the Russian borders, stressing at the same time that Russia is open to dialogue and calls for thinking about creating stable and equal conditions for security for all parties involved in the conflict.
