A car crashed into a river in Oberndorf, north of Salzburg, Austria.
The inmates die - including a two-year-old child.
Oberndorf (Austria) - Two adults and a child died in a tragic car accident in Austria near the German border on Sunday.
According to emergency services, a car broke through a railing made of wood and steel in Oberndorf north of Salzburg and fell into the Salzach River.
The cause of the accident was initially unclear, as reported by the ORF, among others.

According to helpers, all three people could have been dead when emergency services arrived.
"They were in the water for about an hour," said one helper.
The emergency services rescued the two-year-old child last from the car and tried to resuscitate him - without success.
The Salzach is currently still freezing, the water temperature is only a few degrees above zero.
This circumstance alone makes long-term survival almost impossible.
Fire brigade, water rescue, Red Cross and police were involved in the rescue.
Investigators are now working to determine the cause of the accident.
