After nightfall, the temperature dropped to slightly above 8 degrees, and Tai Mo Shan and Ngong Ping were only 3.5 degrees higher.

The Observatory said that the weather was severe, with a minimum temperature of about 7 degrees in the urban area on Monday (21st), and another one or two degrees lower in the New Territories. The temperature in the highlands was significantly lower, and it may freeze.
