"Bares for Rares" star Julian Schmitz-Avila told Instagram about a bad experience at an art fair: Because his father was careless, he was robbed.
Cologne - In the junk show "Bares for Rares" art dealer Julian Schmitz-Avila regularly acquires antiques.
But the art trade is not that easy: on Instagram he told his followers that he was robbed at an art fair.

Julian Schmitz-Avila has been buying rare curiosities, rarities or antiques on the ZDF show "Bares für Rares" since 2015, which he then resells.
Together with his father, he then exhibits his achievements at art fairs to find a new owner.
As he said on Instagram, the 35-year-old was even robbed: "My father is a bit of a hectic guy and he doesn't feel like closing everything all the time," explained Julian.
They displayed two silver candlesticks from the 18th century on a chest of drawers.
"High five-digit amount," said the dealer.
They left the candlesticks unsecured.
But the dealers were punished for their carelessness: when Julian Schmitz-Avila and his father returned the next day, the candlesticks were gone.

The dealer's fans are beside themselves: many react angrily, "how sad" writes a follower.
"It's really hard," puts one Instagram user in a nutshell.
Others, on the other hand, find the story funny: "That's sooo dad Julian," says a viewer.
