The cheating phenomenon in the various network games continues, and Voice of Duty continues the stubborn struggle of those players who insist on cheating and ruining the game experience in a variety of ways.
Over the past few months Activision has launched RICOCHET, the anti-cheat software for PC gamers who wanted the Kernel level of the PC and is supposed to identify users by the hardware they run the game on, and now we get a significant, and even experimental, update.
Because RICOCHET fails to combat the cheating phenomenon en masse, Activision has decided on a new technique that should make it easier for players and exhaust the cheaters, and in a situation where the software detects a cheater on the server, it will give all players "protection" from damage, thus Prevent him from eliminating the other contestants using cheats like aim-bot or various wallhacks.
Really private IDDQD for the players (sorry in advance to the young readers of the site who did not understand the reference).

An update on the official website of the Voice of Duty states: "The system disables the ability of the cheaters to harm other players and leaves them vulnerable to the other players while the RICOCHET team collects information about him and his system. We track and monitor all these encounters with the cheaters "To make sure that the system does not activate the 'damage shield' accidentally or randomly. For the sake of clarity: the system will never interfere with the players of the line, and after passing all the necessary tests, it is now distributed globally for all users."
Activision sums up the post and notes that according to the information it owns, the amount of cheaters has indeed dropped significantly, but the work continues and never ends, because the cheaters each time find new ways to break through and bypass the game's defense systems.
The company promises to continue to fight the phenomenon and update RICOCHET as much as possible, and will continue to update in the coming months regarding developments and new ways.
What do you think of Activision's new way to fight cheaters?
