As of tomorrow, the Syrian Trading Corporation will start disbursing the price of the citrus crop to farmers who market their crop through it, at its sorting center behind the Jameh fuel station in Lattakia.
The director of the Foundation’s branch, Engineer Sami Halil, explained to SANA’s reporter that the disbursement of the price of the crop will be according to specific dates that will be announced in advance according to the date of delivery of the crop to the Foundation.
He said: “The price of the crop delivered to the institution will be disbursed during the period from January 11 to January 18, starting tomorrow and for a period of three days, “Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday,” and from 11 am until 8 pm, to be followed by the payment of the dues of farmers who delivered their crop. after this date in a row.”
Hillel confirmed that any farmer who feels unfair may file an objection at the branch building of the Syrian Trading Corporation located on Maysaloon Street, and his objection will be checked directly.
According to Engineer Hillel, the value of citrus fruits marketed by the Syrian Trade Corporation has so far reached about one and a half billion Syrian pounds.
He pointed out that the Corporation continues to receive the yafawi and sour variety from farmers and pay its price directly, and that it is possible to register to market the crop by calling a direct number at the branch's headquarters 2235157.
