A man from the Altlandkreis had a wild chase with the police.

At up to 130 km/h he raced through towns and country lanes.

Ingenried –

On Monday at around 0.20 a.m., a 56-year-old driver from the old district of Schongau in Altenstadt was to be stopped as part of a general traffic control.

According to the police, the man ignored the stop signal and instead accelerated his vehicle to evade control.

He drove through Altenstadt in the direction of Burggen, sometimes at 100 km/h, and finally turned off the WM6 district road onto a dirt road.

The man then fled at high speed over dirt roads in the direction of Schwabbruck and finally turned onto the WM3 district road in the direction of Huttenried.

From there, the pursuit went back over a dirt road in the direction of Ingenried.

According to the police, he drove through the area at around 130 km/h.

At the level of the sports field path, Schongauer Strasse was blocked by a police car.

However, the 56-year-old was able to avoid the car and then continued his flight in the direction of Tannenberg.

There the police officers then managed to get the car to stop using three service vehicles.

Fake license plates and no driver's license

The 56-year-old was taken out of the car and arrested for the time being.

During the check, it turned out that he did not have a valid driver's license, that the car was not registered and that counterfeit license plates were attached to the vehicle.

Additional counterfeit license plates were found inside the vehicle.

Since the 56-year-old stated that he had consumed numerous medications, a blood sample was also taken.

The man is now being investigated for driving without a license, forgery of documents, endangering road traffic and other crimes.
