The firefighting teams of the Lebanese Civil Defense put out a fire that broke out in a camp for the displaced Syrians behind the municipality of Qab Elias in the eastern Bekaa Valley.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the fire caused a number of camp residents to suffocate after the fire destroyed a number of tents, noting that the Lebanese Civil Defense worked to put out the fire, the causes of which are not yet known.
On December 27, 2020, a number of Lebanese people set ablaze a camp for the displaced Syrians that includes about 100 tents in the town of Miniyeh, Akkar district, north Lebanon, which led to the displacement of hundreds of displaced people from their tents.
