The poet Riyad Saadeh recited various Zajal poems that carried the concerns of the homeland and society, explaining that zajal as a definition is to raise the voice in tambourine, and its word came from the carrier pigeon and has many types, including the meaning, the poem, the muwashah, the qaradi, the admonition, and the mijna composed on weights and seas, pointing out that the zajal that appeared from the countryside to express the conditions People are similar in the countries of the Levant because the region and geography are one and the people are similar.
The participation of the poet Taan Tajrah came with poems that were characterized by their carrying the folklore, heritage and history of the region. He pointed out that zajal has declined in our country during the past period due to the poor promotion of it, but today it has begun to regain its position and popularity, as concerts are held for it and enjoy the turnout of people because it touches human cases in sadness, joy and hope.
