Helicopter crashes just next to bathers – video shows the moment of shock

The recordings show that the beach was full of people when the accident happened.

The helicopter pilot is said to have been well trained.

MIAMI - A helicopter has crashed into the sea off the coast of the US state of Florida.

Two people were injured in the accident.

The Miami police documented the incident on video.

Three passengers were on board, she tweeted.

"Two people were taken to the hospital." They were "stable," it said.

In the tweet, police released a clip showing the helicopter crashing into the water just meters away from people bathing.

The background was initially still open.

Helicopter accident in the USA: the pilot was well trained

The fact that the pilot was well trained helped ensure that nothing worse happened, said former US Department of Transportation Inspector General Mary Schiavo on CNN.

Apparently, the pilot was able to steer the helicopter away from the people on the beach during the crash.

The helicopter was therefore a Robinson R44.
