At dawn this Monday there were disturbances between the inmates of the Center for Social Reintegration prison in the city of Acapulco, in the state of Guerrero in Mexico, and members of security, which resulted in 17 wounded, the state Secretary of Public Security reported on its Twitter account.
The authorities indicated that at 1:00 am, local time, 25 women and 36 men deprived of liberty were in the process of being transferred to federal prisons, when at least 50 detainees disturbed order.
According to the statement, 13 elements of the State Police and 4 of the National Guard were injured.
They also indicated that the situation is under control.
