According to the German Weather Service (DWD), there is a red alert for all of 83 districts (as of 10:30 p.m.) in Germany.

Especially in Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse, large parts of the state are affected, the meteorologists expect hurricane-like gusts with speeds of around 110 km/h.

In Bavaria, too, 21 districts are affected by the warning from the weather service*.

Many parts in western Germany are already marked in red.

For the Harz-Bergland district in Saxony-Anhalt, the experts are even warning of extreme gusts of wind of 120 km/h to 140 km/h.
