A senior and well-known plastic surgeon from the center was arrested today (Tuesday) on suspicion of tax evasion in the amount of more than NIS 35 million.

He was questioned with caution along with other suspects and released under restrictive conditions.

According to the suspicion, the company owned by the surgeon purchased three residential apartments and a yacht worth more than NIS 35 million, which were registered as part of the company's tax needs, even though they and his family members used them for their personal needs.

After it became known that the surgeon was allegedly making a false presentation to the tax authority, an investigation was opened, which became public yesterday.

This morning, investigators arrived at the suspect's home as well as the homes of other suspects and the surgeon's office, conducted searches and confiscated documents and computer materials.

He was released under restrictive conditions for 180 days, and was required to deposit a personal guarantee of NIS 300,000 as well as a third-party guarantee in the same amount.

He was forced to deposit his passport, and will only be able to leave the country if he obtains the consent of the Tel Aviv Investigations Officer.
