Three cars collided at the junction of the B307 to Spitzingstraße near Neuhaus/Schliersee.

A son of skiing legend Markus Wasmeier was involved.

Update, 6 p.m.:

At the junction of the B 307 to Spitzingstraße near Neuhaus, three cars collided around 12 p.m. on Monday.

Two people were slightly injured, including the second eldest son (28) of skiing legend Markus Wasmeier.

This was confirmed by the double Olympic champion of our newspaper.

His son was literally "shot down".

According to the police, a 35-year-old from Ingolstadt with his Audi A 5 coming from Bayrischzell overlooked the oncoming VW transporter of the Wasmeier open-air museum when turning left onto Spitzingstraße.

Both cars collided head-on.

The severe damage to both cars, especially in the front area, suggests a massive collision.

Due to the energy of the collision, the VW crashed into the Audi A 3 of a 75-year-old Fischbachauer who was waiting on Spitzingstrasse to turn onto the B 307.

Both cars slid down a slope and came to rest in a meadow several meters off the road.

The Audi A 5 blocked a lane of the federal road.

Fischbachauer and Wasmeier were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

All three cars were totaled.

The Schliersee fire brigade went out to clean and secure the scene of the accident.

The B 307 was closed on one side for the entire duration of the operation and briefly completely closed while the vehicles were being recovered.

This caused slight traffic delays, which were mostly limited to the immediate scene of the accident.

According to Andreas Dietmannsberger, commander of the Schliersee fire brigade and operations manager on site, the main road was open to traffic again from 2.30 p.m.

The rescue service, road maintenance department, police, a special vehicle for oil removal and three tow trucks were also deployed.


Wasmeier happy that his son was only slightly injured in a "heavy accident".

Markus Wasmeier spoke to our newspaper about a "violent accident".

He was relieved that his son was only slightly injured.

Update 2.40 p.m .:

According to Andreas Dietmannsberger, commander of the Schliersee fire brigade and operations manager on site, the B307 has been fully accessible again since 2.30 p.m.

The scene of the accident has been cleaned up.

20 men from the Schliersee fire brigade were deployed, as well as rescue services, road maintenance, the police and three tow trucks.

The official police report on the accident is still pending.

According to consistent reports from the scene of the accident, however, the black Audi A5 coming from Aurach overlooked the oncoming VW bus from the Wasmeier Museum when turning and hit it head-on.

The Wasmeier bus then hit the silver Audi A3.

Both vehicles stopped next to each other a few meters off the road.

According to the police, three cars were involved in the accident.

According to reports from the scene of the accident, it was a black Audi A5, a silver Audi A3 with Miesbach license plates and a minibus from the Wasmeier Museum.

Ski double Olympic champion Markus Wasmeier confirmed to our newspaper that one of his sons was driving the minibus.
