Not only private meetings of vaccinated and recovered are easier in Brandenburg.

Corona restrictions also apply to visiting bars, hairdressers and fitness studios.

Potsdam – Almost two years after the first restrictions, Brandenburg is largely relaxing the corona rules in three steps.

From Wednesday (February 23), the contact restrictions for vaccinated and recovered people will be lifted and in restaurants instead of 2G plus with test and booster vaccination, only the 2G rule will apply, as the cabinet decided on Tuesday in Potsdam.

For demonstrations, the upper limit and the obligation to wear a mask no longer apply.

From March 4th, the 3G rule will also apply in restaurants, theaters and cinemas.

From March 20th, all far-reaching restrictions should be lifted if the situation in hospitals allows it - but the mask requirement on buses and trains, for example, and the minimum distance should remain.

"We can look forward to new freedoms in the coming days and weeks," said Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke (SPD).

"It is responsible from the point of view of the state government." Woidke advised to use a sense of proportion.

Brandenburg has implemented the decisions of the federal and state governments one-to-one.

This is a path of prudence and prudence.

He asks those who would have liked further easing steps to be lenient, said Woidke.

FEBRUARY 23: The contact restrictions for private meetings of vaccinated and recovered people are lifted.

So far, only up to ten vaccinated or recovered people have been allowed to meet.

Unvaccinated people are only allowed to meet with up to two people who do not belong to their own household.

A visit to the hairdresser is possible from Wednesday with a negative test, then the 3G rule applies instead of 2G.

In restaurants, vaccinated and recovered people as well as children under the age of 14 can go without a test, the 2G plus rule does not apply.

For demonstrations, the upper limit for the number of participants and the obligation to wear masks no longer apply, but a minimum distance is still required.

The 2G rule with a mask inside still applies to theaters and cinemas, while 3G applies outside.

Folk festivals are possible again.

In museums, amusement parks and zoos, only the FFP2 mask is required indoors.

For hospitals and nursing homes, the restrictions on visits are no longer applicable.

MARCH 4: In restaurants, visits are possible for vaccinated and recovered people, but also for non-vaccinated people with a negative corona test (3G).

The 3G rule also applies to hotels, no longer 2G.

In cinemas and theaters, access is also possible with a test (3G rule) both indoors and outdoors.

Discotheques and clubs can reopen with 2G plus - i.e. for those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered with a booster or additional test.

This also applies to festivals.

In sports halls, swimming pools and fitness centers, the 3G rule is intended indoors, no longer 2G.

Outdoor proof is then no longer required for all sports.
