In the shadow of statements by Western parties involved in negotiations on the renewal of the nuclear agreement with Iran, according to which an agreement between the parties will be reached in the coming days, Iran is exerting last-minute pressure in an effort to obtain further US concessions on lifting economic sanctions.
Iranian President Raisi has stated in Doha, the capital of Qatar, that efforts to revive the nuclear deal will not be successful if Washington does not lift the major sanctions imposed on the Iranian economy.
According to the draft agreement, which was leaked to Reuters last weekend, US sanctions will only be lifted at a later stage of the implementation of the agreement to renew the nuclear deal, if Iran meets all its obligations.
An Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman confirmed in Tehran that the nuclear talks had made significant progress.
However, he noted: "The remaining issues are the most difficult."
Contrary to this Iranian claim, American media reported from Western sources that the agreement should be finalized in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Israel is very concerned about the imminent return of the United States and the powers to the agreement.
In addition, opposition leader MK Netanyahu said in an interview with i24News that "it is time to do more. The agreement will not stop Iran."
