The two sisters, agricultural engineers Sally and Sandy Hamdan from Lattakia, translated their talent for drawing and handicrafts into a small project to manufacture antiques, distinctive art collectibles and toys made of wood, stone, pottery and ceramic dough.

Sally, a fifth-year agricultural engineering student, told SANA's reporter: My sister Sandy and I had a hobby of drawing and handicrafts since childhood. With time, we introduced ideas inspired by our specialization, embodied them in natural colors, taking into account that they were also the basis for our small project, which benefits us financially.

She pointed out that her works and her hobby of drawing developed as a result of the support given to her by the artist Ismail Totunji, pointing out that she herself developed her talent in handicrafts and participated in several exhibitions such as the flower exhibition and exhibitions at Tishreen University and an exhibition within the Orouba Garden and others. She also worked in 2019 as a school for handicrafts within a project of UNICEF In cooperation with the Al-Ikhaa Association to teach professions for children, in addition to carrying out drawing and handicraft activities in the area in which it resides, it also displays its products and works on a permanent basis in the Al-Dayaa Market Association.

For her part, Sandy said: “I make cloth toys and accessories, draw acrylic paintings, and make masterpieces from a paste that resembles ceramic paste, adding some materials, then molding them in the form of small dolls and statues, and dressing them in recycled clothes with the addition of touches inspired by my specialist,” indicating that she participated in her work in the flower exhibition for four Consecutive years and in an exhibition at Tishreen University.

The two sisters are keen to draw natural paintings to become symbolic gifts that carry a moral value with many colors that give positive energy and joy, stressing that a person is able to make beautiful things in life and that anything we do with love and with small touches becomes great moral value.
