After a long Corona break, theater life in Reichersbeuern is coming back to life.
The Trachtenverien is bringing a new play to the stage - and very soon
Reichersbeuern
- For a long time there was silence on the stages, entertaining and social events were hardly possible due to the pandemic.
Now that the restrictions are getting fewer, something should finally stir again.
At least that's what the Reichersbeur Trachtenverein and its theater group thought: In March, the active ensemble invites you to six performances of "Da Franzosenzipfe" in the local Altwirtssaal, the premiere is on Saturday, March 5th, at 8 p.m.
Playing theater in Reichersbeuern: A piece of local culture
Actually, the Reichersbeur theater always play during the Christmas season - and that's how they had planned it last fall, when the number of corona infections was significantly lower.
In late autumn, the rehearsals started according to the rules, but with increasing incidences it became clear that nothing would happen with the winter season.
But now the actors want to get back on the stage and make their audience laugh - in compliance with the Corona requirements applicable to the respective dates, of course.
"Each visitor has to show their corresponding proof upon entry," explains Klaus Steinbacher, who directs the event together with Werner Härtl.
The limitation of the number of visitors to 75 percent is also taken into account.
"We will set up the tables loosely," say Steinbacher and Trachtenverein board member Sepp Schlickenrieder.
They want to get active again.
"After all, acting is a piece of local and club culture." The theater tradition in the Reichersbeur traditional costume club goes back to 1909.
Preparations for historical outdoor game in Reichersbeuern
The main reason why the ensemble did not set the dates for its performances in later spring is that after the last performance on March 20th, the preparations and rehearsals for the big historical open-air play, which originally belonged to the Reichersbeurer 1000 -Anniversary had been planned.
It had to be canceled in both 2020 and 2021, and now everyone is hoping that it can be performed this summer.
For the time being, however, the mimes are rehearsing for the three-act play penned by Thomas Kirnberger, a theater colleague from Habach.
"Da Franzosenzipfe" is the name of the play, which is set in 1811: Napoleon has allied himself with Bavaria.
But the Bavarian population does not necessarily see this as a reason to be happy, because the Russian campaign is imminent and French soldiers are billeted everywhere in their home regions.
Trachtenverien Reichersbeuern shows royal Bavarian comedy
The three women on the manless Gschwendnerhof look forward to this with concern, after all, a lot of bad things have been heard from the French.
And it comes as it must, but after hopes and fears, unexpected turns and humorous situational comedy, the plot naturally has a happy ending.
The message of the royal Bavarian comedy of international understanding, as characterized by the author, seems to be relevant even today.
And moreover, she promises the viewers a few happy hours.
Dates:
"Da Franzosenzipfe" will be performed in the "Altwirt" on Saturday, March 5, Sunday, March 6, Saturday, March 12, Sunday, March 13, Saturday, March 19, at 8 p.m.;
on Sunday, March 20 at 2 p.m.
Tickets for 12 euros each are now available from the Raiffeisenbank in Reichersbeuern and from the Citizens' Service in the town hall.
