Yolanda Díaz announced this Tuesday that her “listening process” will start in the spring to form a national platform for the next general elections.

The second vice president of the Government, who for now has not publicly transferred a decision on whether she will attend as head of the list in the elections scheduled for 2023, will undertake a tour throughout the territory that will last six months and after which she will "reflect" on her future .

Díaz, who has been warning for months of the distance between political parties and citizens, seeks to "reduce that gap" and "weave" a country project for the next decade "modern and focused on people's lives", as he has defended in an interview on TVE's 24-hour channel.

Just a few weeks after the minimum approval of the labor reform, which had recently focused its entire agenda, and after the setback of United We Can in the elections in Castilla y León —a campaign in which it barely participated—, the vice president seems determined to reactivate her more political profile.

The head of Labor has insisted this Tuesday that it is a process of "citizen nature", with society as the "protagonist", subtracting weight from political formations.

“I am very respectful and I appreciate the trust of the parties”, Galician politics has conceded, which on other occasions has been very critical and even branded them an “obstacle”.

“I have reflected a lot and in the spring I launch myself into this listening project.

I am going to travel my country from north to south and from east to west”, she stated, to “weave a country project that is different, democratic, feminist”, that puts climate policy and young people at the center, she explained, although without specifying dates, places or the format of that process that he already announced last September and whose start has been postponed due to the calendar of his ministry.

Galician politics, however, has hinted that it will not be before April, since until then it has a "very intense" agenda that includes trips outside of Spain.

“It is not about creating something to the left [of the PSOE]”, Díaz has once again emphasized, who already expressed in December his desire to work on a transversal project.

"A mixed process that is going to have its contradictions," he pointed out this Tuesday.

The vice president has recognized that her platform will end in an "electoral process", although she has reiterated that at the moment she is not her candidate.

“When those six months pass I will reflect again”, she added, “maybe I am just a channel”.

“I think there is a different space, of a new Spain.

I am looking forward to hearing from public health in my country and teaching.

This does not mean that I want to introduce myself.”

Asked for the name, the person in charge of Labor has affirmed that in her team they are considering "some idea", although she has not revealed anything else.

Both the direction of Podemos and its former secretary general, Pablo Iglesias, have been open in recent weeks to changing the acronym.

“I am very disciplined”, she has apologized this Tuesday.

"I'll let myself be advised, as I always do."

Before all this, Ella Díaz will also travel briefly to Andalusia, a community that she had not yet visited as vice-president, and to which she will attend at the invitation of the CC OO and UGT unions.

Since she assumed the leadership of United We Can in the Government, Yolanda Díaz has done nothing but grow in the polls.

This same Tuesday, the CIS placed her as the second preferred politician by Spaniards to be president, just 1.1 points behind Pedro Sánchez, the shortest distance between the two to date.

The vice president, in addition, has been the best valued political leader for months.

A good cover letter to launch her platform.
