Drone image shows dog poop hotspot: community is now hitting the table – "Pull yourself together!"

The municipality of Aying has identified a dog poop hotspot and documented it using a drone.

At 75 meters there is a heap after a heap - to the annoyance of many.

– The municipality of Aying is taking an unusual approach to drawing attention to animal remains.

On her homepage, she points out "unpleasant things from the municipal area" and illustrates this with photos and drone aerial photographs.

It shows over 60 marked dog turds.

These were centered on a municipal area east of the Rewe market in Großhelfendorf.

And that just on a 75 meter long section of Grasser Straße.

What is particularly irritating: In the immediate vicinity there is a dog toilet complete with waste bags and a garbage can.

There were also indications from the population that this section in particular is particularly popular for walking and for dogs to do their business.

Only the dog owners themselves seldom trudged into the green to dutifully pick up the droppings.

Dog poop hotspot: "Speak to the people directly about their misconduct!"

It is not surprising that the enthusiasm about this in the Aying town hall is moderate.

That's why the homepage appeals to masters and mistresses in clear words: "Pull yourself together and simply take the legacies of your four-legged friends with you!"

The emptying of the dog toilets costs the municipality of Aying and thus the taxpayer a four-digit amount every year.

There are also costs for the dog waste bags provided free of charge.

The municipality is also turning to those people who have filed complaints against individual dog owners with the town hall administration in recent weeks: "Speak to the people directly on the spot about their misconduct!"
