After the storm, the sun comes out again this weekend.

But it stays fresh.

The DWD meanwhile criticizes the wrong winter forecasts of alleged "experts".

Wiesbaden

– The heavy storms of the past week seem to be over.

Now Germany is looking forward to the sun.

According to the meteorologist

Dominik Jung, managing director of the weather service Q.met,

it appears again and Hoch Jannis ensures a "terrific Wednesday".

Only in the south are there clouds at first and it could also rain a little in the Alps.

But even there it will still be dry.

Weather in Germany will be changeable again - from the weekend then pure sun

On Thursday (February 24th) and Friday it will be changeable again.

Especially on Friday there could even be "sleet thunderstorms or winter thunderstorms with sleet".

The wind is coming back too.

But at the weekend Hoch Kai brings us a lot of sun.

“Saturday, Sunday, Shrove Monday and Shrove Tuesday together there could be up to 40 hours of sunshine.

That would be really great

Compensation for this dingy February, which is well on the way to becoming the warmest February ever, or since weather records began in 1881,” says Jung.

February 2022 clearly too warm: DWD criticizes "experts" for ice winter forecasts - "scientific nonsense"

There is no real winter at all this season.

February of this year is currently warmer than an average March.

"That's very extreme," explains the graduate meteorologist.

“There is hardly any more sun until the end of the month.

Everything that is still possible really comes from heaven, and that is especially true for the last three to four days of the month.

It's amazing how warm this February turned out.

The month is 4.5 degrees warmer than the average climate for the years 1961 to 1990. This is really a significant upward deviation.

The bottom line is that the entire winter so far has been 3 degrees warmer than the average climate.”

And that, although some people predicted a really cold and snowy winter.

Because the "whole cold winter forecasts that were made by some 'experts' were in fact a shot in the oven." Dominik Jung also refers to the press spokesman of the German Weather Service, Andreas Friedrich.

 He had sharply criticized

the predictions at

arena-plus.tv , among others.

Frederick spoke of

"scientific nonsense" that the common man unfortunately cannot understand when he sees the forecasts.

Weather in Germany: dry phase in the next few days - but it remains fresh

According to Jung, from Saturday/Sunday there will be a longer dry weather phase in Germany: "This is reminiscent of the monthly trends for March from NOAA.

A very warm and very dry March was forecast there.

According to the current forecasts, the first 10 days of March will bring hardly any precipitation, so it seems to be heading in the direction of the NOAA forecast”.

Although many hours of sunshine can be expected from Sunday, there is a small catch: the temperatures remain low.

It even gets chilly at night.

However, that is normal.

"It's only the end of February and then clear nights also bring light night frosts.

In addition, a fresh easterly wind is blowing and that makes everything feel colder anyway,” says weather expert Jung.
