BOCHK informs customers and the public that some branches of the bank will be temporarily closed from today (23rd) until further notice due to the preliminary diagnosis of novel coronavirus by branch staff. The branches involved include: Chai Wan Branch, Lee Chung Street Branch, Happy Horse BOC Wealth Management Centre, Wang Guan Road Branch, Kowloon Bay Branch, Telford Plaza Branch, 26 Fu Yan Street Branch, 194 Cheung Sha Wan Road Branch, Tsuen Wan Branch, Sheung Kwai Chung Branch, Tsing Yi City Bank of China Wealth Management Centre, and Education Road Branch.
The bank pointed out that it will take corresponding epidemic prevention measures, including thorough cleaning and disinfection of relevant branches, and arrange all employees of relevant branches to be tested and quarantined at home.
All employees of the relevant branches strictly abide by the requirements of the Bank's epidemic prevention measures, including wearing masks and taking temperature checks during work.
The bank will continue to closely monitor the situation, maintain close contact with the Centre for Health Protection on relevant cases, and fully cooperate with the epidemic prevention work.
In addition, Ma Tau Kok Road Branch, Prince Edward Shanghai Street Branch and Ma On Shan Plaza Branch, which were closed earlier due to the confirmed cases of employees, will resume business from today.
The branch concerned has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, and branch staff have also been tested and the results were all negative.
