Ferrari crash: mechanic scraps classic on test drive - total loss

On Tuesday afternoon, a 65-year-old from Solingen crashed into a tree with a Ferrari during a test drive.

During a test drive, a car mechanic crashed a 20-year-old Ferrari into a tree.

The vehicle was totaled.

They show a Ferrari* F355 GTS that is more than 20 years old - unfortunately in a catastrophic condition, because the cult car was totaled.

But it gets even harder for the owner: He had apparently given the Ferrari to a workshop.

The accident then happened during a test drive by the fitter responsible.

According to police information, the accident happened on Tuesday afternoon in Langenfeld in the Rhineland.

At around 2.30 p.m., the 65-year-old vehicle mechanic drove the Ferrari in the direction of Langenfeld on the occasion of the test drive with a red license plate after repairs had been carried out.

At the height of the local glider airfield, he then came off the road to the right for reasons that have not yet been clarified and crashed into a tree.

The man from Solingen was slightly injured in the accident.

The rescue workers who arrived later took him to a nearby hospital as a precaution.

The Ferrari was totaled in the crash and had to be towed away.

According to the police, the market value of the Ferrari, which is over 20 years old, is estimated at around 100,000 euros
