She provides her family with healthy treats and shows skill.

The Benz barracks in Mannheim * are home to many cult residents of the RTLZWEI program "Hartz und Herzen" *.

The social documentary is one of the most popular programs on RTLZWEI.

The episodes have been filmed in the former working class district since 2017.

The best-known and most popular residents include Janine, Elvis with his wife Katrin, and Dieter and his wife Carmen.

The sympathetic Mannheim native always had a casual saying on her lips and helped her neighbors wherever and however she could.

The 57th episode of the RTLZWEI social documentary is about Katrin's everyday life, among other things.

She lives with her family of ten in the "quiet corner" in the Benz barracks in Mannheim.

Since 2018, the family around viewer favorite Elvis has been living in the terraced house, which now urgently needs some renovation work*.

But the lady of the house Katrin not only proves her manual skills* in the show "Hartz und Herzen" - her green fingers are also impressive!

The fan favorite is increasingly growing the vegetables for the family menu himself.

Katrin only recently discovered her passion for gardening.

"I'm doing it for the second year now," reveals Elvis' wife.

Katrin can be proud of herself, because her tomato girls in particular seem to be growing up splendidly: "This year it's a little more," she says in the 57th episode "Hartz and warm - day after day Benz barracks".

She has one goal: to expand the cultivation and add a few more tomato and cucumber plants.

A little ashamed, the fan favorite has to admit that the cultivation in her greenhouse has mercilessly flopped: "It doesn't look so good in my greenhouse - nothing came of it.

Nothing grew there,” Katrin continues.

She decided to accept the failure and start again next year.

"I left it and will try again next year," reveals Katrin on the TV show.
