In love with Paris, dreaming of Japan: "Treblier" reaches the "Big Mouth" section | Israel today

2022-02-23T11:34:40.377Z

The most popular travel blogger in Israel arrives to tackle our complex culinary questionnaire and reveals quite a few juicy details about her culinary world • And also: why must a comprehensive food research be conducted on a destination before flying to it?

You follow them and follow them on social media non-stop, spend time at their shows, buy their fashion collections, imitate and prepare recipes they have created, or, quite rightly, just enjoy satisfying the voyeuristic instinct for their intriguing and colorful lifestyle.

But what about the food?

It is in this box that the "Big Mouth" section enters, the section that asks bloggers and celebrities (or bothers, depending on who asks) all the easy and heavy questions about their culinary habits: what they will not eat in life, where they will be willing to eat all their lives, and even what vegetable Will never enter their home alive.

Liri Horesh Rinman, who you probably know as traveliri (and maybe I even renewed you and did not even know you had a last name, and even two) is in my opinion the best travel blogger in Israel and certainly the one with the best content.

In addition to the Facebook community for travelers numbering tens of thousands of people who do not fly without checking everything it needs, it also has an Instagram account with 82,000 followers, so-called K82, so in total we have around 150,000 people exposed to its important content, which is far beyond beautiful visuals. Landscapes around the world.

Since the worlds of food and tourism are best friends (and do not believe anyone who tells you otherwise), I courted Liri in March and finally managed to catch her, after a few weeks in Thailand and before a flight to Paris, for a particularly fun culinary conversation.

I do not recommend reading any of the articles in the section when you are hungry, but this one in particular.

Let's start with the basics, what do you like to eat the most?

Pasta Pasta Pasta.

Able to eat pasta every day until the end of my life, but such real fresh pasta as in restaurants in Italy, handmade dough and delicate sauces that compliment it.

What will you not eat in life?

I have a reluctance to part my face, everything I tasted was not tasty, so not sure I will give it another chance but Never say never

Something you died to try and did not try

as a hiker I was exposed to so many kitchens and raw materials, so I do not cost any such dish, so I will refer to foods I am dying to eat and can not: real Indonesian food like I ate in Indonesia- Sata, Beef Randang, Nassi Gorang.

Not available in the country.

Do you like to cook?

Mostly not, prefers to eat.

My partner Or is gifted with exceptional culinary talent and culinary understanding, so I find interesting recipes online and come back from every trip with a suitcase full of special ingredients, and he cooks perfect food like in restaurants.

What is your dream meal?

Quality steak with mashed potatoes or good chips and a glass of wine.

For dessert - everything related to hot chocolate.

What do you eat at Friday dinner?

I do not come from a home of cooks, usually order delivery from a deli or restaurant, or eat out.

Liri Rinman Horesh (traveliri),

The five best restaurants you've been to?

Wow, hard question.

There are many more than five, but these are the first ones that come to mind:

Steirereck - an amazing 2-star Michelin-starred restaurant in Vienna.

Minetta Tavern in New York - one of the best burgers I have ever eaten, excellent steak, dreamy fries, a wonderful French chocolate souffle.

True you asked what is my dream meal?

Bingo

All'Antico Vinaio - not exactly a restaurant, but a famous sandwich stand in Florence in the afternoon and evening a queue of several streets in front of it. Recommends arriving late in the morning and enjoying the most delicious sandwich you will ever eat.

La Solita Zuppa - a country restaurant in a hole on the border between Umbria and Tuscany in Italy, which serves a lot of soups - until I ate there I had no idea that soups could be so good.

There are also excellent handmade pastas, and when you order the house wine you get a whole jug and pay only for the part you drank from it.

As a graduate student in social psychology - I was impressed by the trick.

Henri G in Paros, Greece - I traveled a whole month on several islands in Greece, and I remember this chef's restaurant most of all.

The spectacular location between white Cycladic houses and a church with a blue dome, the design that looks like it was pulled from Pinterest, the service and the meticulous food.

recommended.

Your favorite kitchen?

A true Italian of Italy.

Fresh pasta, delicate sauces that the pasta does not "swim" in, Neapolitan pizza, Fiorentini steak in Florence, ice cream, pistachio croissant.

For the past two years I have traveled a total of a month and a half all over Italy, and what can I tell you - this country is a culinary adventure.

In each district the raw materials and dishes are completely different, and everything is so delicious!

Regarding specific recommendations, I think every foodie must visit the province of Emilia Romagna - a beautiful and delicious area in a different section.

The city of Bologna is considered the culinary capital of Italy and the title is completely justified in my eyes.

Your favorite chef and why?

Yuval Ben Neria, I was at his event recently and I also celebrated a birthday at A- always always wow.

Who do you dream of cooking for you?

Joel Robuchon, his divine puree.

I wish that was possible

Junk food or restaurants?

Restaurants.

You will not see me at McDonald's by choice, neither in Israel nor abroad.

Quality is important to me and I am happy to pay more for it when needed.

Pizza or hamburger?

Cheeseburger with thin chips and mayonnaise

The most worthwhile culinary destination you've been to?

(In your case, more than one and it is desirable to detail as much as possible)

The whole of Italy is a culinary dream but I have already talked about it.

Paris and France in general - the basis for the culinary we know today, the techniques, the combinations, the products.

I'm flying to Paris for the fifth time next week, and until then devote every spare moment to dreaming of a French croissant, a fresh baguette with half-salted butter, amazing pastry cakes, real onion soup, steak with French fries and the other dishes you always eat there.

pleasure.

Last August I visited the Basque Country and San Sebastian - every culinary enthusiast knows that this is one of the most culinary areas in the world.

The food served in restaurants and bars is simply superb, especially small and wonderful pinchos alongside the drink, and there is the highest number of Michelin stars per capita.

I also really like the supply of restaurants in New York, always landing there and never stopping to eat from morning until night.

A tip for foodie travelers?

Good food is a key part of any trip, so in order not to "fall" I recommend doing research in advance, finding out where to book a place and planning the time so that you have time to taste a variety of local dishes.

A trip with mediocre food is a disappointing trip for me, so there is nothing I will invest in more than preliminary culinary research.

A culinary destination that you must fly to and you were not?

Japan, I was scheduled to fly in April 2020, the corona has arrived and since then I have been looking forward to its reopening to tourists.

The culinary sand destination that surprised you the most?

Not many know, but Singapore is a culinary paradise.

I came back from there very recently for the fourth time- the whole culture there revolves around food.

The local cuisine is a combination of Chinese, Malaysian and Indonesian, the excellent street food is served in the cleanest complexes imaginable (nevertheless, Singapore) and one can find countless upscale and Michelin-starred restaurants of renowned chefs from around the world.

A true paradise for foodies.
