Positive PCR test?

Then it's time to go into domestic isolation immediately.

Their duration depends on the symptoms.

The new infections in the Freising district are still high.

Those affected often do not know what to do if the test is positive.

The district office explains the procedure.

District

– The peak of the omicron wave has apparently been passed, but the Robert Koch Institute for the district of Freising is still recording a high number of new infections – on Wednesday there were 771. The Freising district office explains what those who tested positive and contact persons have to consider .

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Tested positive

The following applies to all persons tested positive by a PCR test (index persons):

■

Go into domestic isolation immediately

■

The isolation ends after ten days at the earliest (calculated from the onset of symptoms or the date of the swab test if there are no symptoms)

■

It is possible to shorten the isolation period under certain conditions: at least 48 hours without symptoms, negative test result of a PCR test carried out no earlier than day 7 of isolation or rapid antigen tests (each carried out by a medical professional or a comparable person trained for this) .

If you have sent this

by e-mail to fallschluss-ctt@kreis-fs.de

, you can leave the isolation on your own the following day.

You do not have to actively report to the health department.

This is automatically informed of a positive test.

Exception: Tests carried out abroad.

In these cases, the person tested is still obliged to report to the health department

■

Comply with hygiene rules

■ Isolate

from family members in your own home.

Family members in your own household will also remain in quarantine at home unless they are fully vaccinated or recovered

■ Inform

contact persons

■ Contact

family doctor for symptoms that need treatment

■

In an emergency: call 112

■ Inform

household members and other close contacts in the last two days before the positive test was taken or the onset of symptoms in the private and professional environment about the infection

■

If the self-test is positive, the following also applies: Please go into quarantine at home until you have a negative PCR test result

■

Climedo

The Freising Health Department is supported by the Climedo software in identifying and tracking contacts.

If the contact tracing team has an e-mail address or mobile phone number for the person concerned through the transmission from the laboratory, Climedo sends a symptom diary and a questionnaire every day and also offers the option of reporting the contact persons themselves.

If you have not received an e-mail from Climedo after several days, then send the contact details for activation.

Evidence for recovered

A digital “recovery certificate” can be obtained from most pharmacies after the end of the isolation, upon presentation of the positive PCR result.

According to current regulations, such a certificate is valid from the 28th day and for a maximum of 90 days after infection.

Written confirmation of domestic isolation can be sent to the following e-mail address after the end of the isolation, stating your name, address, date of birth and isolation

period: certifcation-ifsg@kreis-fs.de

.

Information for contact persons of infected people

■ Unvaccinated and unrecovered contacts of an infected person:

Contacts are people who had contact with a confirmed Covid-19 case during its contagious period

■

Home quarantine lasts: ten days without a final test, seven days with a final negative PCR or rapid antigen test (by qualified personnel; no self-tests!)

■

The quarantine ends when the negative test result is sent to the health department

by email to kpschluss-CTT@Kreis-fs.de.

There will be no further contact from the health department

■ Isolate

from family members in their own household

■

Comply with hygiene rules

■ Contact

family doctor for symptoms that need treatment

■

In an emergency: call 112

■ Fully vaccinated and recovered

The following people who have been classified as close contacts are exempt from the quarantine obligation:

■

Close contacts who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and have received a booster vaccination (“boosters”)

■

Close contacts who have recovered from a Covid-19 disease confirmed by a PCR test and have then received at least one dose of vaccine (exception permanent from the day of vaccination)

■

close contacts who have received at least one dose of vaccine and have subsequently recovered from a PCR test-confirmed Covid-19 disease (exception permanent from day 28 after the positive test was taken)

■

Close contacts who can demonstrate a specific positive antibody test according to the guidelines of the Paul Ehrlich Institute and who have subsequently received at least one dose of vaccine.

The positive antibody test must have occurred at a time when the person concerned had not yet received a vaccination against Covid-19 and must have been collected in an accredited laboratory (exception permanent from the day of vaccination)

■

Close contacts who have been fully vaccinated by two doses of vaccine if it is at least 15 days and no more than 90 days since the second vaccination and close contacts who have recovered from a PCR test-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection if the underlying testing was at least 28 days and no more than 90 days ago

■

If typical symptoms of an infection with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 such as cough, fever or loss of taste and smell occur within ten days of close contact with the confirmed case of Covid-19, the responsible health authority must be informed immediately

■ Isolate

immediately if symptoms of illness appear and have a PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 carried out.

If you have close professional contact with unvaccinated risk groups (e.g. work in a nursing home), the need for further measures or requirements for the next ten days will be discussed with the workplace

■

If you have private contact with unvaccinated risk groups (e.g. caring for older family members) and cannot stop contact for ten days after the last close contact with the confirmed SARS-CoV-2 case, please pay particular attention to compliance with the hygiene rules

■
