Several hundred elected officials gathered Thursday before the administrative court of Melun (Seine-et-Marne), which held a hearing on the summary addressed to the cities by the prefect Sophie Thibault for their lack of deliberation on working time.

The summary concerns in particular the communist cities of Ivry-sur-Seine, Vitry-sur-Seine, Bonneuil-sur-Marne, Villejuif or Thiais.
Passed in 2019, the civil service transformation law imposes the application of 35 hours to all civil servants, i.e. 1607 hours of effective work per year.
This provision implies the abolition of derogatory regimes, more favorable on working time, in place in certain administrations.

At the end of January, the administrative court of Montreuil ordered five communist mayors of Seine-Saint-Denis to apply the law on 35 hours within 40 days.
