A Bavarian district and a city are now the Corona front runners.

The seven-day incidence here is above the national average.

Regensburg - In the corona pandemic, the city and district of Regensburg are now frontrunners: The Robert Koch Institute reported the highest seven-day incidence nationwide today (Thursday, February 24).

Accordingly, the county has a value of 4340.2 and the city of 3403.2.

Corona in Regensburg: nationwide leader in seven-day incidence

The reason for this was a very high number of late registrations in both municipalities.

The number of infections reported daily can fluctuate greatly, as the local health authorities are delayed in forwarding the data due to technical problems or overload.

Doctors also assume that there is a high number of undetected infections.

Corona in Regensburg: Bavaria's incidence is 1804

There were a total of 54,681 new corona infections in the entire Free State of Bavaria - that's 12,000 more than the day before.

The statewide seven-day incidence is now 1804, well above the federal average of 1265.0.

39 people died from the lung disease.

Thus, the total number of deaths in Bavaria is 21,227.
