Katya, a 36-year-old student who immigrated from Ukraine and is demonstrating in Haifa, said she has a family in Donetsk and testified that "there are many people, even in Russia, who are ashamed of Putin and this act."
She said that "this is humiliation to Ukraine and deception to the world", and accused Putin of starting a war and not calling it that.
In protest in front of the Russian embassy in Tel Aviv, protesters are calling against Putin, mainly in Ukrainian.
Among others, "Putin", "Stop the war" and "Ukraine Ukraine" shouted.
One of the protesters, Nadav Salzberger, explained why he came.
"I am concerned about Russia's aggressiveness towards Ukraine," he said.
"Ukraine deserves the right to sovereignty and there is a danger that Putin will degenerate Europe into a war that will affect us all."
According to Nadav, he is mainly concerned "about the future of the Jews currently living in Ukraine."
