Poetry Without Borders is the title of the event carried out by a group of amateur youth on the airport park stage in Daraa city today as part of the project to enhance community cohesion.
In their poems, young people dealt with various topics, most of which were emotional in nature and in which love for the homeland was mixed with passion.
Muhammad Talib presented a poem entitled (Doubt), while Ammar al-Zawbani asked about leaving and staying in a poem entitled (It was only from your snack) and Saeed Bishtawi addressed the city of Damascus with its beauty and history in a poem entitled (The Umayyad Beauty).
Young woman Wiam Aba Zeid presented a poem entitled (A Date with the Moon), in which she spoke about the feelings that were in her mind, while the young woman, Nour Abu Houran, began her poem, titled (The King), with a religious invocation, followed by an emotional poem about love.
Young amateurs expressed to SANA Cultural Center their happiness with this event, which allowed them to present their writings to people and some specialists, stressing the importance of embracing and nurturing young talents.
They pointed to the aesthetics of the idea by praising a theater within a public garden and in the open air, calling for the need to launch successive literary activities to provide an opportunity and allow the identification of talents.
It is noteworthy that the Community Cohesion Program, organized by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in cooperation with the Daraa City Council, was launched early last year and aims to implement activities that help promote integration and social cohesion among various groups of society, especially young men and women.
