The state government of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has strongly condemned the Russian attack on Ukraine.
“The Russian government broke international law with this attack.
Putin must stop this violence immediately," said Vice Prime Minister Simone Oldenburg (left) on Thursday after a special cabinet meeting in Schwerin.
Schwerin - The invasion of Ukraine represents a new dimension. "For the state government in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, it goes without saying that all our activities towards Russia are suspended in such a situation," said Oldenburg.

The head of the State Chancellery, Patrick Dahlemann (SPD), announced that the state crisis management team would be advised in the afternoon.
Among other things, it should be discussed how members of the Bundeswehr who are in the Corona aid operation and who may be withdrawn from there are replaced.
In addition, there are immediate discussions with district administrators and mayors about how the municipalities can prepare for a possible influx of refugees from the crisis area.
