In mid-January, the British internal intelligence agency "Security Service" (Security Service), also known as "MI5" (MI5), issued a "Security Service Interference Alert" to all members of Parliament. The unprecedented warning alleges that Christine Ching Kui Lee, a 58-year-old British-Chinese female lawyer, coordinated with the United Front Work Department of the Chinese Communist Party to try to support current MPs by diverting donations from foreigners from Hong Kong and mainland China to the UK and aspiring politicians to become MPs, secretly meddling in British politics; it also warned MPs to be wary of Li Zhenju’s links to Beijing and her push for the CCP’s agenda in the UK, asking MPs to avoid contact with her as much as possible.

The incident sparked widespread reports and social discussions, and some mainstream British media wanted to promote a specious narrative through the Li Zhenju case.

On the one hand, it said that Li Zhenju was not of the "cloak and dagger type" who worked for China's Ministry of State Security, otherwise she could not have been in the UK.

This claim has an intimidating motive and is untenable.

Because Li Zhenju is a British citizen, the law does not allow her to be deported.

This statement also demonizes China's Ministry of State Security to an alarmist level, which is not professional.

In this article, Huang Bonong will use the narrative of the British mainstream media to raise the issue of the "Five Eyes" intelligence alliance's misjudgment of China's intelligence in recent years.
