The Homs Championship for physical strength for both men and women categories was concluded under the supervision of the Technical Committee in preparation for the Republic Championship that will be held later in Damascus.
In the women’s category, Aya Zina at 47 kg, Dalia Al Taweel at 69 kg and Mays Ibrahim at 76 kg came first in the men’s category, Tamer Al Mukhaizimi with 66 kg, Samer Al Hindi with 83 kg, Basil Hassan at 93 kg and Muhammad Asbar with 105 kg.
Head of the Technical Committee for Physical Strength in Homs, Samer Al-Khidr, indicated in a SANA statement that clubs’ participation in the tournament was weak and limited to sports houses.
