What, in your opinion, are the military, but also geopolitical objectives of Vladimir Putin?

The final objective is obviously political, even if Putin has announced that he will stick to “military” targets.
What is striking is that he systematically repeats, in veiled terms, a language used - for good or bad purpose - by Western countries in the last two decades.
It evokes - against all evidence - a "genocide" in the Donbass: it is a reference to Kosovo (1999).
He suggests that the "regime" in Kiev must be overthrown and even claims that it could manufacture nuclear weapons: this is a reference to Iraq (2003).
Where will it stop?
For the moment, this is the worst-case scenario, that of an attempt to “train” Ukraine, a state that he wants to weaken at the very least and at the most to bring back “home” by force.
