Daniel Greenberg's Interview: Tears of Courage Israel today

2022-02-25T20:17:13.137Z

Interviews like that of Daniel Greenberg or famous divorcees before her should be embraced - not condemned

Daniel Greenberg has never been one of my favorite celebrities.

I felt she was producing a lot of noise and very little content, and especially one that made the most of her fortune on the standard of Eyal Golan's wife.

Over the years, her interviews have not made me fond of her.

There was a lot of insincerity in them, alongside a failed attempt to present a life that does not exist.

But all of those feelings and thoughts were exchanged in one 15-minute interview.

Last weekend Greenberg was interviewed on News 12. She explained that she had signed a confidentiality agreement, but had to be blind, deaf and mute together so as not to understand the clues.

With tears in her eyes, she talked about the difficulty of living alongside the revered singer, the depression in pregnancy, the fear of betraying and the desire to give their two children together the best.

Greenberg's interview caused a lot of buzz, and I personally have a lot of empathy.

I was sorry to find out that many women actually came out against her, but most of all - her brave interview also symbolizes a growing phenomenon: famous women undergoing divorce proceedings stand in front of the cameras to tell about the difficulties, about real life.

Before Greenberg, they were Nicole Reidman, Jenny Chervani, Ortal Amar and Tahonia Rubel.

Reidman first exposed over the pages of this newspaper the violence she experienced from her ex-husband Michael Chernoy.

Chervani did not spare criticism from her ex-husband Roni Mana.

And Tahonia also told in tears about a difficult relationship.

These interviews, even when sometimes designed to conduct business, are important interviews.

Divorce is not the end of the world, though it can be very complex, and these women are not the first and last to divorce.

But those who expose everything even though they know it will have dire consequences are no less courageous.

Because when you get divorced, the last thing you want is for your children's father to have a bad relationship with you.

And also because in some cases you are financially dependent on the alimony of whoever was your husband.

Interviews of this kind do not end with a few statements in front of the camera, they are sometimes accompanied by threats and pressure from the former owners and their people.

I spoke this week with one of Eyal Golan's associates, who was surprised by the interview.

"There are things that are not said in interviews," he said, and I replied, "there are things that are not done when married, certainly not when you are one of the most successful singers in the country."

I wish everyone a safe home, but if things go wrong along the way, even thanks to these five mothers all the celebrities will know that disgusting behavior may one day come out - and it has a price.
