Reichersbeuern – The Reichersbeur traditional costume club “d' Oberlandler” is playing theater again.

Advance tickets are now available.

For a long time, cultural events were hardly possible due to the pandemic.

But now that the restrictions are becoming looser, the theater group of the Reichersbeurer Trachtenverein "d' Oberlandler" finally wants to get back on the boards in the local Altwirtssaal.

"Da Franzosenzipfe" is the title of the three-act play that the ensemble has rehearsed under the direction of Klaus Steinbacher and Werner Härtl.

The story takes place in 1811: Napoleon has allied himself with Bavaria.

Good amount of situational comedy

However, the Bavarian population does not necessarily see this as a reason to be happy, because the Russian campaign is imminent and French soldiers are billeted everywhere.

The three women on the manless Gschwendnerhof are therefore afraid and worried, after all, all sorts of bad things have been heard from the French.

But despite the seriousness of the situation, a few unexpected twists bring things to a happy ending - even in matters of love - and a good deal of situational comedy ensures that the audience can enjoy themselves.

It is not for nothing that author Thomas Kirnberger from Habach calls his play a "royal Bavarian comedy of international understanding".
