Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that President Vladimir Putin is ready to send a Russian delegation to Minsk to negotiate with a Ukrainian delegation.

"Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced his readiness to discuss the neutral situation of Ukraine and we are ready to send a delegation to Minsk that includes representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Kremlin administration," Peskov said in a press statement today.

Peskov noted that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko assured President Putin that Minsk would be ready to create all necessary conditions for the negotiation process between Russia and Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed his readiness to discuss Ukraine's neutral status.

Peskov pointed out that Russia's expectations from Ukraine regarding the neutral situation and the renunciation of arms proliferation as well as disarmament remain unchanged, noting that in its proposals on security guarantees, Russia demanded legal guarantees from its Western partners regarding the abandonment of plans for the subsequent expansion of NATO to the east, the idea of Ukraine joining the alliance, and the idea of Ukraine joining the alliance. Creation of military bases in post-Soviet countries.

Peskov indicated that the proposals included a clause on the non-deployment of NATO strike weapons near the borders of Russia and the withdrawal of allied forces from Eastern Europe to the sites in 1997.

Peskov said: These demands remain in their previous form, where they were formulated very precisely and clearly. Russia is not accustomed to changing positions like a butterfly. Its positions are consistent, well understood, logical and clearly formulated.

The Russian presidential spokesman stressed that Russia's response to the new Western sanctions will appear soon and the principle of reciprocity will be used.

Peskov indicated that Western sanctions will be analyzed to determine the response methods and whether they will be symmetrical or asymmetric, and all these restrictions still have to be analyzed.
