The Ukrainian presidency announced this evening that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has agreed to Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal to launch negotiations on a ceasefire and peace.
"We have agreed to the proposal of the President of Russia, and in the coming hours the two sides will discuss the place and time of negotiations," Ukrainian presidential spokesman Sergei Nikiforov wrote on Facebook.
Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin had expressed his readiness to send a Russian delegation to Minsk for negotiations with the Ukrainian delegation.
