– Two activists from the “Last Generation” group wanted to disrupt operations at Munich Airport on Friday with 94 balloons.
However, the police found the 23-year-old from Munich and the 20-year-old from Heidelberg before they could let the balloons rise.
According to a press release from the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria North, the two were brought to the airport police inspection.
Criminal proceedings were instituted against her for attempted coercion.
“The Last Generation” had drawn attention to itself in the past few days with several traffic blockades in Germany, including at the airport on Wednesday.

After the announcement that the release of balloons would disrupt air traffic, the police had expanded their usual security patrols in the outer area of the airport.
At 7.10 a.m., federal and state police forces discovered two people in the area of the southern runway who were staying at the western fence in the public area.
The 94 commercially available balloons were secured.
After at least the 23-year-old from Munich had already been actively involved in the disruption of public road traffic on Wednesday in the area of Munich Airport, the state police are currently examining further anti-hazard measures against the man.
The 20-year-old from Heidelberg announced before the police that she would soon commit other similar crimes in the same context.
