Damascus-SANA
The Our Children series, issued by the Child Publications Directorate in the Syrian General Book Authority, returned to present to young readers with this year a bouquet of paper stories written by talented children and great writers, or translated from world literature, all of which revolve around instilling positive values in children.
And we read in this year’s editions of young writers advising their peers of good morals, as in the story of the poor woodcutter written by the child Joud Jamal Abu Samra and drawn by the child Muhammad Ahmad Darwish, in which the child spoke about the value of generosity, altruism, compassion and love for others.
Among the products of the great writers, we also read in the story of the elephant and the mirror by Hassan Benmouna and the drawings of Aya Hammoud about the need for change in human life and his self-improvement for the better.
As for the story of the rainbow by Dalal Luqa and the drawings of Ahmed Haj Ahmed, we read in it scientific information about the formation of the rainbow and the colors of light and prism.
In the translated stories, we learn about the story of the starfish, translated by Salam Al-Fadil and drawn by Rana Qwaider, and the value of making a difference in the lives of others by providing assistance, even if it is small.
