Sum: three people drowned in their car

Three people were found dead on Saturday February 26 in their car, which fell overnight in a pond in the Somme, said the gendarmerie, which favors the trail of an accident during an evening return.

Relatives residing in Oise had alerted the authorities on Saturday to the worrying disappearance of three friends who had gone to party together, the gendarmerie of Montdidier (Somme) told AFP.

Thanks to mobile phones, the gendarmes were able to locate the car, found on the roof, all four wheels out of the water, in a pond by the roadside in Beuvraignes, a town in the Somme bordering the Oise.

Divers were mobilized to extract the victims, who would be three men aged around 35 to 45, according to the same source.
