The United Russia party announced that its website had been subjected to a large-scale cyber attack, explaining that more than 20,000 email addresses involved in the attack had been identified and blocked.
Sputnik news agency quoted the party as saying in a statement today that the cyber attack began using the “DDos” technology on the infrastructure of the party’s official website and is still going on until the moment, noting that the attack is being launched across different regions.
The website of Russia's RIA Novosti news agency was also subjected to a massive cyber attack.
It is noteworthy that the cyber attack is carried out using the "DDOS" method, which aims to disrupt the site from working by sending multiple requests to bypass the network's capacity.
Yesterday, NBC News reported that US intelligence agencies have presented US President Joe Biden with options for a large-scale cyber attack against Russia.
