The trailer introduces us to the new district and the three new starting Pokemon of the ninth generation: the grass Pokemon Sprigatito, the Fire Pokemon Fuecoco and Quaxly - the Water Pokemon.
In Game Freak who develop the game, Pokemon Scarlet / Violet is described as an open world game without borders that will separate the different areas, and players will be able to explore the map as they please at sea, on land and in the air.

The trailer does not expose us to significant gameplay moments so it is too early to decide if the games will really live up to the promises, but it sounds like Game Freak realized that they can not go back to the classic Pokemon formula, just like they did in the recent Pokemon Legends: Arceus game. They need to open up the game map and allow players more freedom of action.
